The Patient Registration Float Pool Team is responsible for providing excellent customer service throughout Inova Health System by identifying and fulfilling customer and departmental needs. Provides world-class service to patients by filling vacancies within clinical departments. Travels to various hospitals and outpatient practices within the Fairfax, Fair Oaks, Fairfax City & Reston areas as required. Monday - Friday, every other weekend. Shifts - Morning/midday (7am - 3:30pm/10am - 6:30pm

Patient Registration Float Job Responsibilities;
- Supports scheduling undertakings by conducting pre-service activities such as insurance verification and submission.
- Troubleshoots individual admission issues in collaboration with other departments and/or team members.
- Explains insurance benefits and patient liability by using appropriate communication methods/styles.
- Identifies and communicates payroll authorization and referral requirements.
- Manages assigned work queues to ensure that errors are corrected.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 2 years of healthcare patient access experience, or 2 years of customer service
