As a vital member of the healthcare team, you will support both front and back office operations, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to clinical support. Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients efficiently and professionally, ensuring a positive patient experience.
Assist with scheduling, patient intake, and answering phone calls to support smooth clinic operations.
Measure vital signs, update patient records, and prepare patients for examinations.
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures accurately and safely.
Administer vaccines and other injections in accordance with clinical protocols.
Support clinical staff with various tasks, including specimen collection and basic clinical troubleshooting.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment.
Document patient interactions and clinical procedures accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care and health education.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on Medical Assistant experience, including clinical externships.
Certification as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture techniques.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, especially in a patient-facing role.
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment focused on health education and outreach.
Strong computer literacy and familiarity with clinical software applications.
Bilingual skills are a plus and preferred for serving diverse patient populations.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in occupational health settings.
Previous work supporting health screening or outreach initiatives.
Knowledge of vaccination protocols and preventive care procedures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar).
At least one year of clinical assistant experience in a busy healthcare environment.
Prior exposure to occupational health or primary care settings.
Other Requirements:
Must be at least 2 years old (for patient support purposes).
Flexibility to work various shifts as scheduled, including weekdays.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professionalism and compassion.
Physical capability to perform clinical duties, including standing for extended periods and performing blood draws.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Valid licensure or certification as a Medical Assistant.
