Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy - Keokuk, Iowa

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy needs a qualified staff pharmacist for per diem coverage in a well-managed pharmacy located in Keokuk, IA. The role provides an excellent opportunity to support a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with 340B pharmacy management and contribute to quality patient care within a community setting. This position offers a full week of coverage with traveler candidates already pre-approved.

Location:
Keokuk, Iowa – located in the southeastern corner of the state on the river, bordering Illinois.

Schedule:

• Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 29
• 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (includes a 1-hour lunch)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive retail pharmacy services including dispensing and counseling
• Manage daily operations including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow to ensure efficient service
• Work within the Datascan by WinPharm system for prescription processing and inventory management
• Collaborate with pharmacy support staff to facilitate smooth operations and patient care
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards, including 340B program guidelines where applicable

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license required
• Experience in retail or community pharmacy settings
• Proven ability to manage opening and closing shifts and supervise technicians
• Prior exposure to 340B program highly preferred but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with pharmacy team members
