Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students in a school-based setting near Sterling, AK. We are seeking passionate professionals to fill six full-time Speech-Language Pathologist positions (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY), and applications from qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) are welcome as well. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the full academic year in an on-site capacity, with available needs in Southern, Central, and Eastern Peninsula areas.

What we’re looking for:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Current or pending state licensure in Alaska (SLP or SLPA)
  • Experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to work on-site throughout the school year
  • Willingness to travel--this is a travel position with a stipend included

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Developing and implementing IEPs in collaboration with educational teams
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and progress records
  • Participating in team meetings and professional development activities
  • Providing support and consultation to staff and families as needed
  • Committing to serve in person at one or more locations within the district
