Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and professional Patient Coordination Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. This position serves as the primary administrative support professional in our office, working closely with practitioners to ensure smooth daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities independently in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Responsibilities
Patient Coordination & Front Desk Support
- Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls and direct communications appropriately.
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, paperwork, and general inquiries.
- Assist with appointment preparation and follow-up coordination.
Administrative & Office Support
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain patient records and documentation.
- Record transactions accurately and maintain organized administrative files.
- Maintain office supplies and support daily office operations.
- Perform general administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Billing & Financial Support
- Collect patient payments and necessary billing information.
- Support billing processes by ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Maintain organized records related to payments and financial transactions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Professional demeanor with strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced office environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
Preferred
- Previous medical office, medical receptionist, or patient coordination experience.
- Experience with multi-line phone systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, or medical coding.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and healthcare documentation processes.
