Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ emotional and academic growth in a contract School Psychologist role near the scenic Anacortes, WA area. This position offers a unique part-time schedule—just 8 hours per week (.2 FTE)—with services needed onsite, allowing you to balance professional fulfillment with personal commitments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (state and national credentials preferred)
- Previous experience providing psychological services in educational settings
- Expertise in assessment, intervention, and counseling for students across K–12
- Stellar communication skills to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
- Strong organizational abilities and ethical judgment
- Adaptability to address diverse student needs within a school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data to inform educational planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling to students as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to recommend strategies that optimize learning and well-being
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and adhere to compliance standards for special education services
- Contribute to initiatives that foster a supportive school climate and positive student outcomes
