Data Center Technician

Title: Data Center Technician (Contract)
Location: Muskogee, Oklahoma
Pay: $23.00–$30.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 10-hour days
Contract Length: 2 months+
Requirement: OSHA 10 required prior to starting

Overview

We are seeking motivated Data Center Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, and deployment of structured cabling and critical infrastructure within data center environments. This is a great opportunity for candidates with structured cabling, telecommunications, electrical, low-voltage, IT hardware, or data center experience looking to grow in the mission-critical infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, dress, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling in data center environments
• Perform rack and stack work for servers, switches, storage devices, and network equipment
• Assist with hardware installs, decommissions, upgrades, and migrations
• Read and interpret cable schedules, floor plans, rack elevations, and project documentation
• Label and document installed infrastructure to project standards
• Perform cable terminations, patching, testing, and troubleshooting
• Support inventory control, staging, receiving, and asset tracking
• Maintain accurate documentation and installation records
• Follow customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Support additional installation/deployment tasks as needed

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 required prior to start
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• • Structured cabling / telecom / low-voltage
  • Data center environments
  • IT hardware deployment (servers/network equipment)
  • Copper/fiber installation, testing, troubleshooting
• Ability to follow project documentation and labeling standards
