Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Hamilton, Illinois

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy management organization is seeking a staffed pharmacist for per diem coverage at a managed pharmacy location. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide full-week coverage in a community setting supported by a strong pharmacy technician team.

Location: Keokuk, Iowa (near the Illinois state line)

Dates of Coverage:

• Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 29
• Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch break

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care within a retail/community pharmacy environment
• Lead daily operations including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Utilize the Datascan by WinPharm system for pharmacy management

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Iowa pharmacist license
• Experience in retail/community pharmacy practice
• Proven ability to open and close pharmacies and supervise technician staff
• Previous experience with 340B programs is highly preferred, though not mandatory
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently within a team-oriented setting

This per diem opportunity provides flexible coverage and is ideal for pharmacists authorized to practice in Iowa who have previous retail and supervisory experience. Travelers are pre-approved for this assignment.

Support is provided by an established pharmacy management organization that specializes in FQHC/340B pharmacy services.
