The role combines client interaction, documentation review, and data accuracy to help connect community members with essential support through a nonprofit organization.

Responsibilities:
• Meet with applicants to gather information, review supporting documents, and assess eligibility for energy assistance programs.
• Provide courteous and empathetic service when responding to questions from individuals and families seeking help.
• Walk clients through program guidelines, required paperwork, and application next steps in a clear and understandable manner.
• Record, update, and maintain applicant details accurately within internal systems and databases.
• Use basic calculations to verify income information, household size, and other eligibility-related factors.
• Coordinate with partner agencies and community resources to help address client needs and improve access to services.
• Support outreach activities by participating in local events and connecting with residents who may qualify for assistance.
• Assist a broad range of community members, including older adults, former service members, people with disabilities, and families with children, while protecting confidentiality and following program standards.• Previous experience in customer service, call center support, or another public-facing service role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain processes and requirements clearly and professionally.
• Comfortable handling inbound and outbound calls while delivering a positive client experience.
• Proficiency with computers, data entry, and application or records administration.
• Solid attention to detail and the ability to complete work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for reviewing income figures and determining eligibility information.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
