Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the upcoming school year serving students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic educational setting near Houston, TX. This school-based role supports children and collaborates with educators and families, providing impactful communication interventions throughout the academic year. Assignments will be determined prior to the school year, with placements shared after the interview process.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Active Texas SLP or SLPA license required; candidates must provide a screenshot for verification.
  • SLPAs must present valid credentials; supervision hours to obtain licensure are not available.
  • A background of school-based experience within an SLP or SLPA capacity.
  • Candidates must seek on-site roles and have reliable transportation.
  • Experience within the Houston Independent School District is a plus.
  • Must be able to complete and cover the cost of required fingerprinting within three days of contract signing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech, language, and communication interventions in a K–12 school setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans for student success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to foster inclusive communication strategies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with all stakeholders.

This contract spans from late July through late May, aligning with the full academic calendar and offering the chance to make a lasting difference each day.
