Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An established community pharmacy in Ogdensburg, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their pharmacy department. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards while delivering excellent patient care and pharmacy services.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the registered supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
- Manage overall pharmacy operations including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, conducting performance reviews and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in community and store business development initiatives.
- Provide patient counseling on medications including dosage, interactions, side effects, and ensure therapy optimization.
- Administer immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Complete required continuing education and training programs.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State pharmacist license.
- Immunization certification with comfort administering all vaccines.
- Recent Pharmacy Manager experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Closed Sundays
