Retail Mail Order Pharmacy Technician in Palm Harbor, FL

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This pharmacy technician opportunity offers a 13-week contract in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role begins ASAP, typically 1.5 to 2 weeks after receiving an offer and clearance.

Primary responsibilities include processing and filling prescriptions, managing insurance adjudications and rejections, preparing and packaging medications for pharmacist verification, and performing accurate data entry. You will also maintain inventory through cycle counts and restocking, assist with medication returns and destruction, and support various pharmacy functions through cross-training. Compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations is essential.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, hold an active PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing, and possess at least two years of pharmacy technician experience. Experience in call center or customer-facing environments is preferred. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and team members are required.
