Retail Mail Order Pharmacy Technician - Clearwater, FL

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a dynamic pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician on a 13-week contract in Clearwater, FL. This role is essential to ensuring the accurate processing and fulfillment of prescriptions in a fast-paced mail order and retail pharmacy environment.

Schedule and Location:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
• Clearwater, FL
• Start ASAP or within 1.5-2 weeks after offer clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions accurately, including insurance adjudications and resolving claim rejections
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification
• Perform data entry and manage prescription paperwork, maintaining clear communication with patients and prescribers
• Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, restocking, and checking medication expiration dates
• Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction procedures
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions to support overall department needs
• Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and team members
