Material Handler Forklift Operator

Pay: $23.00/hr

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Stand-Up Forklift Operator to support warehouse and inventory operations. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and issuing materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift to safely move, store, and retrieve materials throughout the warehouse
• Receive, inspect, and count incoming inventory and materials
• Load, unload, pack, and unpack products for storage or shipment
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations in an organized and accessible manner
• Verify inventory counts and assist with inventory audits and cycle counts
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and report issues to supervisors
• Label and identify inventory using tags, stamps, and warehouse systems
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and stock levels
• Inspect materials for damage or defects and report findings as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
• Assist team members with daily warehouse operations as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0–2 years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Experience operating a stand-up forklift required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills

• Inventory control and cycle counting experience
• Shipping and receiving experience
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices
