Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join a Medication-Assisted Treatment clinic. This role provides both clinical and administrative support to ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care throughout their treatment journey. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with individuals receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment services and is committed to supporting patient recovery in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities/ Job Duties:
- Provide administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient patient intake and workflow processes.
- Collect, process, and document specimens in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Obtain and record patient vital signs, reporting concerns or abnormal findings to clinical staff as appropriate.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, laboratory services, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient records and documentation in electronic and/or paper medical record systems.
- Assist with inventory management, purchasing, and ordering of medical and office supplies.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and available healthcare resources as directed by clinical staff.
- Coordinate with internal team members and external providers to support continuity of care and patient service needs.
- Participate in team meetings, training programs, and continuing education activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, confidentiality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform additional administrative, clinical, and operational duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with behavioral health, substance use, or underserved patient populations
Schedule/ Shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Every other Saturday, 5:00 AM - 9:00 AM (paid at 1.5x overtime rate)
