Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Carthage, Illinois

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A per diem opportunity is available to provide full-week coverage as a staff pharmacist at a managed pharmacy supporting a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and 340B program. This role involves working in a retail/community pharmacy environment with robust technician support.

Location: Keokuk, Iowa – situated in the southeastern corner of the state along the river near the Illinois border.

Schedule:

• Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 29
• 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee opening and closing procedures
• Dispense medications accurately and counsel patients
• Ensure compliance with 340B program guidelines as applicable
• Utilize Datascan by WinPharm pharmacy system for daily operations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Iowa pharmacy license required
• Experience in retail or community pharmacy settings required
• Supervisory experience with pharmacy technicians preferred
• Previous 340B program experience highly preferred but not mandatory
• Capability to manage a pharmacy with strong technician support effectively
