This is a Night shift position, with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekdays and every other weekend.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Medical Surgical/Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for adult patients facing medical and surgical challenges related to cancer, along with palliative care and family education on oncological processes. The registered nurse will also care for telemetry and urology patients as needed while floating within the unit as required.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients receiving chemotherapy treatments.
\n
• Provide routine patient care, including central line draws, ports, and blood administration.
\n
• Assist with procedures such as bone marrow aspirations and the management of Pleurx chest tubes.
\n
• Educate patients and families on the oncological processes and palliative care.
\n
• Maintain patient ratios of 5-6:1 during night shifts, ensuring quality nursing care.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
\n
• Current BLS certification; Chemotherapy Administration certification preferred.
\n
• WV RN License or Compact RN License is required.
\n
• Experience with telemetry and oncology is preferred, though not mandatory.
\n
