We have an immediate need for a Resident Engineer, PE for our Staten Island location.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.
Responsibilities
Summary of Duties: Oversee and verify construction activities, reading and understanding construction documents, maintain field records and As-Builts.
Communication and coordination with all contractors and all associated third party companies affected by the work. Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, schedule updates and daily work questions.
Attend and host weekly meetings between the contractor, the client and the engineer of record. Maintain a focus on safety and security on site.
- Responsibilities: Review daily logs, made by the inspectors. Complete daily dairies for the project. Understand the project budget and negotiate change orders, as needed. Review and approve monthly schedule updates for all contracts. Verify manhours for security personnel. Review and approve monthly quantity discussions with the contractor for payment. Drafting and editing meeting minutes. Review and maintain all material certifications and sampling and testing results.
Qualifications
- Key Qualifications (Skills, Education, Experience):
- Experience: Experience with overseeing and verifying work done by a group of inspectors. Experience with requisition and schedule approvals. Ability to read and understand contract drawings and specifications. Past experience on jobs that include excavation and trench work, including but not limited to sewer, drainage, electrical, gas, communication, etc. Experience with grading, fill placement and roadway and sidewalk installation. History with NYCDEP, NYCDDC, NYCDOT and NYC Parks is preferred.
- Education: Bachelors or Masters of Science for Engineering
- Skills: Must be able to use all Microsoft products (outlook, teams, word, excel) and proficient with Adobe. Knowledge of Visio preferred but not required.
- Certifications or Licenses (if required): NY Professional Engineering License

-Compensation: Minimum: $75.00ph: $90.00ph. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidates qualifications and location.
