Adjunct Instructors
The School of Education at St. Ambrose University seeks qualified applicants to serve as adjunct instructors and clinical supervisors in its educator preparation programs. By applying, candidates are being considered for inclusion in an adjunct faculty pool. Positions are filled on a semester-by-semester basis depending on programmatic needs and student enrollment.
We are seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- K-6 Literacy
- 5-8 Literacy
- K-12 English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Early Childhood Education with Inclusive Settings
- Supervision of clinical and student teaching experiences
Adjunct instructors may teach undergraduate students in face-to-face formats during the instructional day on the Davenport campus. Clinical supervisors may support teacher candidates in field-based and student teaching placements in the Quad City area.
A master's degree in education or a closely related field is required. Candidates must also possess K-12 teaching experience in relevant educational settings. Preference may be given to applicants with experience supporting teacher candidates, mentoring preservice teachers, or working in diverse and inclusive school environments.
