Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Falmouth, MA
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Evening Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Falmouth, MA.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans.
- Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of nursing assistants.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Receive and transcribe physician orders and update resident records accordingly.
- Complete admission, transfer, and discharge documentation.
- Monitor resident conditions and document observations, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Perform skilled nursing procedures including catheterization, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, colostomy care, and specimen collection.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Participate in physician rounds and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and treatments.
- Maintain adequate supplies and report equipment or medication needs.
- Ensure compliance with resident rights, confidentiality regulations, and facility policies.
- Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with orientation of new residents and family members.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program or Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Active, unrestricted Massachusetts LPN License required.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- CPR Certification required.
- AED Certification required.
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or a similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulations governing long-term care facilities.
- Ability to supervise nursing assistants and lead care teams effectively.
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
