Coremaker/Molding

EHC is actively looking for a Coremaker/Molding

OVERVIEW:

This position makes the molds using patterns and makes the cores that fit inside the molds. The cores and molds

are used to make metal castings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coremaker:

• Make Cores using Core Boxes (patterns).

• Fill sand in core boxes

• Use chills and risers as needed if it is part of the casting design.

• Operate sand mixer used to make sand cores using core boxes

• Process sand printed cores

• Able to read and interpret drawings

Molding:

• Operate a Sand mixer to mix sand to pour over the pattern or printed mold to make molds

• Use a crane to strip pattern from mold once mold is complete

• Clean printed cores using brushes and vacuums

• Paint cores using mold wash either by brushing or flow coating or swabbing

• Prepping cores by getting a partial fit

• Operate a crane

• Operate a front-end loader

• Operate a forklift

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED and/or 1+ years of equivalent work experience

• Manufacturing experience (1-2 years)
