Become a Key Player as a Quality Engineer II

You will help the organization assure product quality and compliance in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, directly supporting the Quality Manager and interacting with customers and suppliers. You will drive quality improvements, audits, and corrective actions while working onsite in Tucson, AZ on a M-F schedule (4/36 or standard 8-hour days).

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
  • Participate in AS9100 involvement and conduct internal & external auditing
  • Coordinate corrective actions and perform in-depth root cause analysis
  • Interact with customers and suppliers during program management reviews and audits
  • Monitor and use customer databases and DPPM daily metrics to drive countermeasures
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools and statistical methods to process problem solving and improvement
  • Perform First Article Inspection IAW AS9102 and develop inspection/control plans
  • Support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and MRB membership
  • Conduct FRACAS analysis and reliability calculations (MTBF, MTBUR)
  • Oversee and coordinate tool/equipment calibration
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or a quality-related technical discipline (required)
  • Minimum 5 years electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing setting; 5+ years in a quality-related position preferred
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements
  • Experience with inspection techniques, procedures, instruments, SPC, DOE, FMEA, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, attention to detail, numerical/statistical analysis, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, databases, and MRP systems
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
  • ASQ certifications (CQA, CQE) beneficial
  • Aerospace or FAA Repair Station experience (14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65, 120, & 145)
  • Experience with printed circuit board electronics and familiarity with J-STD and IPC standards
Pay Range

$85K-90K base plus bonus/year
