Facility Overview

This facility is a JCAHO accredited health center that provides essential medical services across a 4,400 square mile area, serving as a referral center for the communities located within the western regions of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. Established in 1975, the hospital features a bed capacity of 73 and offers a wide range of services including inpatient and outpatient emergency care, orthopedic procedures, OB/GYN services, oral surgeries, and urological treatments. Approximately 49% of the surgical procedures conducted are outpatient or ambulatory in nature.

Located in Northwestern Arizona on the Colorado Plateau, the facility is surrounded by a semi-desert landscape with varying elevations. The community of Tuba City is known for its rich cultural environment, where Native American tribes such as the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute coexist alongside Anglo, Hispanic, and African American individuals, creating a vibrant and diverse community.

Position Summary

This role provides specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical services on both inpatient and outpatient bases, covering areas such as Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, General and Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Urology, and Psychiatry. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, the incumbent will be responsible for the technical operation of radiologic x-ray equipment and the processing of radiographic images.

Necessary Qualifications

Education:

• Successful completion of radiology training from an AMA-accredited school of Radiology.

Experience:

• Completion of training in the radiology field (CT) with at least 3 years of experience.
• Proficient in operating teleradiology and fax equipment.

Licenses:

• Current valid Arizona State License in Radiology (R).
• Current ARRT Certification in Radiology with advanced qualifications in CT Scan (RT)(CT).

Additional Requirements:

• Maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association throughout employment.
