The Pharmacy Inventory Operations Specialist ensures uninterrupted medication and supply availability through daily purchasing, shortage mitigation, receiving/put-away, inventory optimization, invoice/credit reconciliation, and recall communication. In addition, this role provides as needed daily technician staffing support to maintain operational coverage in patient-care workflows.

Pharmacy Technician 2 Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
- Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
- Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures.
- Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors.
- Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock.
- Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School or GED.
Experience: One (1) year Pharmacy Technician hospital experience.
Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: One (1) year IV training/experience.
