Chief HR Officer / Executive Administrative Support (Direct Hire)
Location: Lexington, KY

About the Company
Our client is a locally owned, fast-growing property management company seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee all human resources functions while providing high-level administrative support to the Owner. Position Summary
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. In addition, this role will serve as a trusted administrative partner to the Owner, assisting with scheduling, communications, special projects, and day-to-day operational support.
This position requires someone who is a self-starter, takes initiative, identifies opportunities for improvement, and can effectively balance HR responsibilities with executive administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate performance evaluations and employee development initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement and retention efforts.
  • Assist leadership with workforce planning and organizational growth strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR regulations and best practices.
Executive & Administrative Support
  • Manage the Owner's calendar, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Screen and prioritize communications, emails, and correspondence.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and business documents.
  • Assist with special projects and operational initiatives.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-up action items.
  • Maintain confidential company and personnel information.
  • Support office administration and daily business operations as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase organizational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, solve problems, and follow through with minimal supervision.
Preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership or business owners.
  • Experience within property management, real estate, construction, or a related industry.
  • Experience helping organizations scale and implement HR processes.
