Psychiatric Evaluations

Our mental health center is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Psychiatric Evaluations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of patients to help establish an accurate diagnosis and develop an effective treatment plan. In addition, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and appropriate care for patients. The successful candidate must possess a thorough understanding of psychiatric illnesses, medical terminology, and the use of electronic medical records.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of patients to provide accurate diagnosis
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement them
• Obtain patient histories and review medical records to gather relevant information
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Communicate with patients and their families to provide education on medications, coping strategies, and available resources
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in electronic medical records
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with emerging treatments and best practices in psychiatric evaluations

• Master's degree in nursing or social work
• Active state license to practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner or clinical social worker
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric evaluations and treatment planning
• Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illnesses and their treatment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and other technology used in psychiatric evaluations.
