Job Description
The Residential Supervisor – Senior plays a key leadership role within Hope Network’s residential services team. In this position, you will oversee the daily operations of multiple residential programs, lead and support direct care teams, and help ensure individuals served receive high-quality, person-centered care in a safe and welcoming environment.
This role is ideal for a compassionate and organized leader who enjoys mentoring staff, building strong teams, and creating positive outcomes for residents and families. You will serve as the designated Licensee Representative/Administrator for multiple licensed residential locations and help ensure programs remain compliant, well-staffed, and operating efficiently.
What You’ll DoLeadership & Team ManagementHire, train, coach, and supervise residential staff, including Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, and Direct Care staff
Provide regular feedback, performance coaching, and staff development opportunities
Create and maintain staffing schedules to support resident needs and program census
Lead staff meetings and promote strong communication between clinical, residential, and leadership teams
Support positive employee morale and help resolve workplace concerns professionally and effectively
Participate in an on-call rotation for staffing support and emergency response
Ensure residents receive quality care, supervision, and individualized rehabilitation support
Oversee medication administration processes, documentation accuracy, and medication reconciliation
Ensure completion of required resident documentation, including progress notes, treatment records, and annual AFC paperwork
Coordinate communication regarding medical appointments and resident care updates
Support resident admissions and collaborate with admissions, nursing, and case management teams to ensure smooth transitions into the home
Communicate with families and guardians regarding visits, updates, and resident concerns
Serve as the Licensee/Administrator for multiple licensed residential programs
Ensure compliance with AFC, CARF, and Hope Network standards and regulations
Prepare for inspections, audits, and investigations and complete corrective action plans as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment across residential locations and company vehicles
Coordinate facility repairs, maintenance, and safety inspections
Manage staffing hours and program expenses to align with operational goals and census needs
Plan and support meaningful recreational and community-based activities for residents
Develop activity schedules that reflect resident interests and encourage participation
Collaborate with Recreation Therapy and incorporate feedback from Resident Council meetings
Encourage family involvement whenever possible
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field plus at least 2 years of experience in a human services setting OR 5+ years of supervisory experience in a residential setting
Experience working in a licensed care environment required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning electronic medical records and other software systems
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to work independently and maintain flexibility with scheduling needs
Experience in neuro rehabilitation or behavioral health environments
Knowledge of AFC and CARF regulations
Experience leading large teams across multiple residential locations
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
Brain Injury Fundamentals certification within 18 months of hire
