Job Description

United Talent is immediately hiring a Crisis Hotline Specialist for a company in Charleston WV!

Job Duties:

Answer incoming calls, texts, and chats from individuals seeking assistance, support, and community resources.
Provide compassionate, professional, and non-judgmental customer service.
Listen actively and assess caller needs while gathering accurate information.
Document interactions thoroughly and accurately in agency systems.
Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable policies and procedures.
Remain calm and effective while handling emotionally sensitive or high-stress situations.
Provide resource referrals and connect individuals with appropriate services.
Follow established crisis intervention protocols and escalation procedures.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure quality service delivery.
Maintain productivity, documentation, and quality standards.
Attend and successfully complete all required training.

Pay and Shift: Paid training conducted Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Training period typically lasts 4–6 weeks. Primarily night shift opportunities are available after training. Pay is $ 15 to 20 based on experience.

Requirements:

Clear criminal background preferred.
No violent criminal convictions.
No sex offender charges or registry history.
Ability to pass required drug screening, including no THC due to federal funding requirements.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate Degree in a medical, behavioral health, human services, or related field preferred for PA Get Help positions.
Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute with 97%–100% accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to remain professional and composed during difficult conversations.
Reliable transportation required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
