United Talent is immediately hiring a Crisis Hotline Specialist for a company in Charleston WV!
Job Duties:
  • Answer incoming calls, texts, and chats from individuals seeking assistance, support, and community resources.
  • Provide compassionate, professional, and non-judgmental customer service.
  • Listen actively and assess caller needs while gathering accurate information.
  • Document interactions thoroughly and accurately in agency systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Remain calm and effective while handling emotionally sensitive or high-stress situations.
  • Provide resource referrals and connect individuals with appropriate services.
  • Follow established crisis intervention protocols and escalation procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Maintain productivity, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Attend and successfully complete all required training.
Pay and Shift: Paid training conducted Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Training period typically lasts 4–6 weeks. Primarily night shift opportunities are available after training. Pay is $ 15 to 20 based on experience.
Requirements:
  • Clear criminal background preferred.
  • No violent criminal convictions.
  • No sex offender charges or registry history.
  • Ability to pass required drug screening, including no THC due to federal funding requirements.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree in a medical, behavioral health, human services, or related field preferred for PA Get Help positions.
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute with 97%–100% accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed during difficult conversations.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
