Compensation

$22–$32/hr (DOE)

A day in the role

You load the next job, call up or create a bend program, pick the right tooling, run a first-article inspection, and fine-tune for repeatable accuracy. You confirm tolerances against the print, adjust parameters, and hand off a stable, efficient setup to production. Then you do it again—faster and smarter—optimizing changeovers and keeping quality front and center.

Core responsibilities

• Program and set up CNC press brake machines for new and repeat jobs
• Interpret blueprints and determine optimal bend sequences
• Select tooling, adjust machine parameters, and verify proper setups
• Measure parts, confirm tolerances, and document results
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
• Reduce setup time and improve throughput with smart programming

What you bring

• 1+ years of press brake programming and setup experience
• Hands-on with CNC controls such as Amada, Trumpf, Cincinnati, and similar
• Strong print-reading skills and bend math
• Accurate measurement skills and attention to detail
• Consistent, stable work history

Preferred background

• Sheet metal fabrication exposure
• Leadership or setup-trainer experience
