Job Description
Summary:
The other qualified provider provides Specialty Mental Health services that align with education and experience under the supervision of qualified staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Assist the child/youth to engage in, or remain engaged in, appropriate activities.
Help minimize the child/youth's maladaptive behavior.
Help maximize the child/youth's social and community competencies.
Build and reinforce daily living skills that assist the child/youth in living successfully at home and in the community.
Provide skill deficit training through immediate behavioral reinforcements.
Teach parents how to intervene appropriately to meet the individual needs of their child.
Provide cognitive behavioral approaches, such as cognitive restructuring, use of hierarchies, and graduated exposure.
Collaborate with and support the family caregivers' efforts to provide a positive environment for the child.
Complete daily progress notes and other required documentation.
Provide supervision of youth in home, school, or community.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health field
OR associate's degree in Mental Health field and 2 years' experience
OR 4 years’ experience
Language & Communication Skills
Able to read and interpret general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
