Responsibilities

Safety Manager – Commercial Construction - Danville, PA

As a Safety Manager, you’ll lead the charge in creating a safe, compliant, and productive work environment on a large-scale healthcare construction project. At HazTek, safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. We’re looking for a collaborative safety professional who can support field operations, build strong relationships onsite, and help drive a proactive safety culture.

This role will support a major commercial construction project in Danville, Pennsylvania. The Safety Manager will work closely with project leadership and trade partners to help maintain a safe and compliant work environment throughout all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily onsite safety oversight for active construction operations
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientation support
  • Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety documentation
  • Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field leadership to reinforce a proactive safety culture
  • Support high-risk construction activities including material handling, heavy equipment operations, excavation, overhead work, and confined space activities

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience preferred
  • Previous healthcare, hospital, or large-scale commercial construction experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
  • OSHA 500 required
  • CPR/First Aid certification required
  • CHST certification strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and field presence
