Golf Shop Attendant at Northwood Country Club

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their visit
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
• Assist with product demonstrations and explain features of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories
• Manage stock levels by merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and organizing inventory
• Upsell products by recommending items that meet customer needs and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders over the phone
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about new merchandise or equipment
• Support retail sales efforts through effective communication skills and friendly engagement

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, especially in a grocery store or similar environment
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transactions
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in a retail setting
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse clientele
• Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
• Knowledge of golf products or sporting goods is beneficial but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends
• Attention to detail in merchandising, stock management, and maintaining a clean shop environment
