Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting. We are hiring a People Services Director in Elko, Nevada.
POSITION OVERVIEW
• Senior Human Resources leadership role reporting directly to the CEO
• Serves as the senior HR leader for the hospital
• Provides strategic workforce leadership and operational HR oversight
• Supports employee engagement, retention, recruitment, labor relations, and compliance initiatives
• Leads HR operations for a hospital workforce of more than 200 employees
• Supervises HR staff and supports leadership development initiatives
COMPENSATION
• Salary range: $101,177-$136,588 annually
• Sign-on bonus negotiable
• Relocation assistance available
SCHEDULE
• Full-time exempt position
• Onsite leadership role
• No travel required
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as strategic HR advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team
• Partner with organizational leaders to align workforce strategy with operational goals
• Lead employee engagement, retention, succession planning, and culture initiatives
• Oversee labor relations activities and collective bargaining agreement administration
• Participate in union negotiations, grievance management, and employee relations matters
• Provide coaching on performance management, investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution
• Direct recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and retention efforts
• Manage HR operations, audits, reporting, compliance, leaves of absence, and accommodations
• Analyze workforce metrics and organizational trends
• Develop and implement workforce improvement initiatives
• Lead employee development and leadership development programs
• Manage HR departmental budgets and expenditures

• Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED (Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred)
• Minimum 7 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience REQUIRED
• Experience leading Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Recruitment, Compliance, and Performance Management REQUIRED
• Experience managing investigations and employee relations issues REQUIRED
• Experience advising senior leadership teams REQUIRED
• Experience managing HR operations and compliance functions REQUIRED
• Experience supervising HR staff REQUIRED
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills REQUIRED
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• Healthcare HR leadership experience preferred
• Direct union experience preferred
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
• Rural healthcare experience preferred
• Multi-union environment experience preferred
