Job Description
About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth marketplace technology company to identify a Chief of Staff to work closely with the CEO and help drive priority initiatives across the organization.

This is a high-impact operating role for someone who can keep cross-functional work moving across product, sales, supply, operations, and leadership. The right person will help translate executive priorities into clear work streams, remove friction between strategy and execution, and ensure the company’s most important initiatives move forward with speed, clarity, and accountability.

This is a strong fit for an operator who wants a seat at the table during a pivotal stage of company growth and is excited to gain a deep understanding of how a fast-scaling marketplace business operates.

What You’ll Do

  • Project manage cross-functional initiatives across product, sales, operations, and supply by defining scope, owners, timelines, and key milestones.
  • Translate customer and market insights into structured product, sales, or operational asks, partnering with internal leaders to prioritize and execute.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for top-priority initiatives so leadership has clear visibility into progress, blockers, and next steps.
  • Coordinate creation and upkeep of sales and GTM materials, including pitch decks, one-pagers, competitive battlecards, case studies, and customer-facing materials.
  • Support CRM hygiene, pipeline reporting cadences, weekly business reviews, and operational rhythms that help teams work from clean data and clear priorities.
  • Identify operational friction slowing teams down and partner with the right owners to resolve it.
  • Support onboarding and ramping of new team members by coordinating training plans, documentation, and resources.
  • Manage prep and follow-up for CEO and leadership meetings, including briefing documents, agendas, action tracking, and internal communications.
  • Triage incoming requests and decisions, route work to the right internal owners, and help ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Support leadership meetings, all-hands, investor updates, board preparation, and other high-priority executive communications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to identify, prioritize, and engage target partners, including tracking outreach, pilots, onboarding, and follow-up.
  • Synthesize learnings from customer, partner, and internal conversations into repeatable playbooks, processes, and operating systems.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, business operations, strategy, or an operating role at a high-growth startup.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of moving multiple cross-functional workstreams forward at the same time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort drafting executive-level documents, customer-facing materials, and internal communications.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong judgment around what matters most in any given week.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Low ego, high ownership, and genuine energy for making others more effective.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to connect strategy, execution, data, and communication.
  • Experience working with leadership teams, founders, executives, or senior cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Interest in marketplace, retail, commerce, supply chain, or high-growth technology environments.
  • Avid user of AI tools and interest in incorporating AI into daily workflows, research, communication, and operating systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in marketplace, retail, e-commerce, inventory, supply chain, or B2B technology businesses.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Experience with pipeline reporting, business reviews, sales operations, or GTM operations.
  • Experience creating sales collateral, executive communications, investor materials, board materials, or strategic memos.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing or partner-facing initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected total compensation range for this role is:

$175,000 – $200,000 USD

Final compensation will depend on experience, location, level, and overall fit. Equity and benefits may also be included as part of the broader compensation package.

Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, equity participation, 401(k), paid time off, and other company-sponsored benefits.

This role is based onsite in Los Angeles, CA.
