Job Description
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Full Time

Position Type: Full Time
Specialization: Pediatric
Setting: Community-Based

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing team. This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children within community-based settings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, while working collaboratively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams in natural environments.

As a community-based BCBA, you will have the unique opportunity to work with children in their homes, schools, and other community settings where they live, learn, and play. This approach allows for the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans that promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction in the most relevant and functional contexts, ensuring maximum generalization and long-term success.

Must have Pennsylvania LBS

Key Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation

  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and functional analyses to identify the function of challenging behaviors in children across various community settings
  • Perform skills assessments using standardized tools such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, or other appropriate assessment instruments to determine baseline functioning and treatment priorities
  • Evaluate environmental factors within home, school, and community settings that may impact behavior and learning
  • Complete intake assessments and develop comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Regularly monitor and assess client progress through data analysis and direct observation

Treatment Planning and Implementation

  • Design individualized, evidence-based behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and treatment programs tailored to each child's unique needs, strengths, and family priorities
  • Develop comprehensive skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social skills, adaptive living skills, academic readiness, and community integration
  • Create behavior reduction strategies that are function-based, ethical, and utilize the least restrictive interventions necessary
  • Establish measurable goals and objectives that are meaningful and socially significant for children and their families
  • Modify and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing data analysis and client progress
  • Ensure all programming is culturally sensitive and family-centered
