First Call Staffing is hiring for a CNC Machine Operator on the Northwest side of Indianapolis. This will be 1st shift schedule will be Mon–Thurs: 6am–2:30pm and Fri: 5am–1:30pm Overtime may be available (weekdays and/or Saturdays) $19.25 an hour
Machine Operator – Fabrication Equipment
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining fabrication equipment in accordance with company policies and safety procedures. This position works closely with the Team Leader and Production Supervisor to coordinate job priorities and maintain production efficiency.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment including, but not limited to:
- Core-Drill
- Trim Saws
- Grinders
- CNC Lathe
- Inspect products using proper gauges and measuring tools
- Monitor workmanship quality to minimize scrap
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Maintain knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues while working with Manufacturing Engineering for resolution
- Maintain accurate production records
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform equipment maintenance as needed
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
- May be required to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience/Background
- 2 years of experience setting up and operating fabrication equipment preferred
- 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent preferred
- CNC experience preferred
- Experience with tooling and fixtures preferred
Skills
- Ability to use micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- General computer skills
- Strong mathematical skills
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and able to work well as part of a team
- Must possess strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
