Job Title: Travel Registered Echo Tech - Days (Non-Invasive Cardiopulmonary)
Job Description: Malone Healthcare is hiring a highly skilled and adaptable Travel Echo Technologist for a 13-week contract. This position requires an autonomous clinician capable of delivering top-tier diagnostic imaging (including TEE and Stress Echoes) while occasionally supporting a broad array of non-invasive cardiopulmonary tests. Weekly Schedule:
- Shift: Days (Consistent day shift hours)
- On-Call: Per department rotation requirements
Position Requirements:
- Experience: 1–2 years of Echo Tech experience preferred. Competency in 2-D Echo (M-Mode, spectral, color flow doppler), TEE, and stress echocardiography is required.
- Cross-Functional Skills: Comfort or familiarity with EKGs, stress testing, cardiac monitor placement, and lower extremity doppler studies is highly preferred.
- Certifications: Active RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) registry required (or registry-eligible status). Active BLS is mandatory.
- Competencies: Must pass standard clinical competencies upon arrival, including strong rhythm recognition skills.
- Leadership: Willingness to mentor imaging students and precept incoming staff as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform premium cardiac ultrasound scans across Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations to record functional, anatomical, and pathological data.
- Ensure seamless department workflows: accurately input data into the EMR, manage billing logs, handle clerical tasks, and immediately flag life-threatening critical results to physicians.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols, including detailed cleaning and disinfecting of specialized cardiology equipment and accessories.
- Actively support department quality initiatives utilizing Six Sigma and family-centered care methodologies.
