- About Facility:
- 3400 Union Ave. Sheboygan, WI 53801
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Primary Stroke Center
- Beds: 101
- Unit Information:
- Beds: 2 suites (1 in the hospital, 1 in the clinic)
- Census? Average patients/day? 4-6 patients per tech per day
- Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of Nuc Med experience
- Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
- Beds: 2 suites (1 in the hospital, 1 in the clinic)
- Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- Outpatient/Inpatient/ED - Cardiac scans, Stress Rest tests, HIDA scans, Renal scans, gastrics, DAT scans, lung scans/perfusions (VQ scan), GI bleeds, administration of i131
- Required License, National Certification, Certs:
- BLS
- ARRT-N or NMTCB
- State license
- Skills required:
- Experience with above scans, handling radioactive isotopes; send for manager if not experienced with something
- Preferred experience: Pluvicto therapies for prostate cancer, Y90 mapping
- Support within the Department:
- 1 other Nuc Med Tech (1 in clinic, 1 in hospital)
- Imaging Assistant/Transporter in hospital
- Patient Service Reps to check in patients
- Scheduler typically schedules cases
- Manager available during weekdays
- Rapid Response/Code Team
- Cardiologist (in clinic) and Radiologist to read
- Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- PACS: Change Healthcare
- Unit specific equipment: In the clinic, Spectrum Dynamics D-Spect chair. In the hospital, Client Discovery 850
- Floating: If yes, where?
- Will float between clinic and main hospital area. This is all in the same building. Will spend 1 month at a time in each area
- Orientation (facility and unit) :
- NEO
- Remainder of the first work will be orienting in the department
- Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: call only
- On call? Yes
- 1 weeknight call shift per week 1600-0700
- 1 weekend of call per month, EOS Friday – Monday 0700
- House Supervisor approves call-ins
- 30-minute response time
- Holiday Expectations: Could be on call for up to 50% of holidays per contract
- Approval of RTO: Ok to approve up to 5 days
- Shift times: Monday – Friday, typically 0730-1600
