Job Summary:
The Surgical Technologist 2 position is located in Temple, Texas. This role involves supporting the surgical team during operative procedures by preparing instruments, ensuring sterilization standards are met, and maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Temple, TX
- Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). No minimum experience required, but knowledge of infection prevention and sterilization standards, sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools is essential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience of 2 years, including cardiovascular, open heart, open vascular, and endovascular surgeries.
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting with invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, maintaining sterilization standards, preparing operating rooms, and supporting surgical teams.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Responsibilities include preparing surgical instruments, maintaining instrument inventories, assisting with patient positioning, handling surgical specimens, and ensuring infection control compliance.
