Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in New York, requiring at least 2 years of experience and certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care hospital setting
- Unit includes 4 birthing rooms and 7 postpartum rooms, with overflow capacity to a swing unit for a total of 12 postpartum rooms
- Role covers L&D, postpartum (P/P), mother/baby (M/B), and nursery
- Charting is performed in Epic
- Advanced fetal monitoring experience is preferred; basic fetal monitoring is acceptable
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BSN is not required
- COVID vaccination required — declination forms are not accepted
Additional Information
- Candidate must be a well-rounded RN comfortable rotating across L&D, postpartum, mother/baby, and nursery
- Interviews are conducted by the unit manager
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration — no exceptions
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2 years of experience is required
