Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic transportation and supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, managing dispatch operations, and ensuring efficient delivery schedules. Your expertise will help optimize logistics workflows, improve communication across departments, and support the seamless operation of our transportation management system. Responsibilities:

• Pay: $24 Hourly OT After 40
• Mon-Sat
• Shift Time: 11PM to 7:30AM
• No Booking Loads!!! Dedicated Lanes
• THIS IS NOT A REMOTE OR WORK-FROM-HOME POSITION. MUST REPORT ON SITE.
• Receive and prioritize incoming requests (calls, messages, system alerts)
• Assign drivers/field personnel to jobs based on location, availability, and priority
• Monitor routes and adjust schedules in real time
• Track vehicles and personnel using GPS or dispatch systems
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Provide drivers with job details, directions, and updates
• Handle schedule changes, delays, and emergency situations
• Maintain accurate records of jobs, times, and activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulations
• Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Resolve issues such as missed appointments or service failures
• Update dispatch systems and software with real-time information
• Coordinate maintenance or service needs for vehicles and equipment
• Support customer service by providing ETAs and status updates
• Generate reports on operations, performance, and productivity

Requirements:

• Proven experience in dispatching or logistics coordination within a transportation or supply chain environment.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems
• Knowledge of GPS, GIS tools, fleet management practices, and shipping & receiving procedures.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to freight movement and supply chain performance.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and written correspondence.
• Proficiency in data entry using systems
• Experience working with 3PL providers, freight carriers, or in transportation planning roles.
• Ability to multitask effectively within fast-paced environments utilizing multi-line phone systems.
