Medical Assistant

We are seeking a detailed-oriented and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant (MA) to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care. This role combines clinic dermatologic procedures, patient intake, documentation, and care coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic.

Clinical Duties

* Prepare patients for examinations and procedures ( e.g., biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy)

* Assist providers during procedures, including sterile setup and instrument handling

* Perform patient intake: record medical history, medications, allergies and chief complaints

* Take clinical photographs and assist with documentation in the EMR

* Provide post-procedure care instructions and patient education

* Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain exam room readiness

Administrative Duties

* Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

* Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription processing

* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

* Coordinate lab specimens and pathology tracking
