Certified Medical Technician (CMT)

Belleview Valley Nursing Home is looking to add 2 more CMT's.

Pay is negotiable upon experience. Night shift differential benefit for night shifts.  Must be willing to rotate weekends and work some holidays.

Must have active CMT license in the state of Missouri. 

Duties include: 

• Ability to pass medications utilizing the proper medication dispensing guidelines.
• Ability to pass medications without significant errors.
• Obtain blood sugar readings and administer insulin injections to diabetic residents.
• Accept responsibilities associated with the control and storage of medications.
• Recognize symptoms of drug reactions and respond appropriately.
• Utilize appropriate drug reference materials as needed.
• When administering medications all documentation is completed per facility, state and federal requirements.
• All physician orders transcribed correctly.
• Residents are assisted as needed with bathing, grooming, dressing and other activities of daily living.
• Report changes in residents’ ability to perform ADLs immediately to charge nurse.
• Respond promptly to resident needs.
• Obtain vital signs per facility requirements.
• Practice body substance precautions.
