Job Description
We’re looking for an On-site Leasing Consultant to join our expanding team! This role includes an hourly wage, comprehensive benefits, and the potential to earn generous commissions along with ongoing bonus opportunities.
Job Summary:
As a leasing consultant, you will be responsible for effectively marketing, leasing, and maintaining positive resident relations with our rental properties. You will work directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention.
Responsibilities:
• Day-to-day leasing operation and all correlating responsibilities.
• Leasing apartments
• Communicating with prospects, and following up with all leads
• Completing and processing applications and files
• Walking vacant units
• Preparing model apartments
• Recording leasing traffic
• Assisting with resident relations and events
• Conducting competitive analysis, marketing, outreach, social media, advertising
• Other administrative tasks
Qualifications:
• Actively licensed during employment to lease in the state of Illinois.
• Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Real estate leasing license or willingness to obtain one (depending on local regulations).
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs; lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions when conducting property tours.
