A-Line Staffing is now hiring Machine Operators in Cockeysville, MD. The Machine Operator will be working for a Fortune 500 Biomedical manufacturing company and has career growth potential.
Location: Cockeysville, MD 21031
Pay Rate:
- $18.00 per hour for 1st shift
- $18.45 per hour for 2nd shift
- $18.55 per hour for 3rd shift
Schedule Options:
- 1st Shift - 6am-4:30pm 10hr shift Mon-Thursdays
- 2nd shift - 2pm-10:30pm Monday - Friday
- 3rd shift - 10pm-6:30am Monday - Friday
Position Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for performing routine setup, operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and quality inspections on moderately complex and automated manufacturing equipment. This position supports production operations by ensuring equipment performance, product quality, accurate documentation, and compliance with safety and manufacturing standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate automated production equipment used for filling, packing, assembling, labeling, and inspection
- Perform routine setup, operation, adjustment, and monitoring of manufacturing equipment
- Perform minor maintenance and preventative maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot machine and product quality issues
- Inspect in-process parts and remove defective materials or products
- Assist with root-cause analysis for process and product exceptions
- Use gauges, jigs, and fixtures to verify close tolerances
- Monitor quality using statistical process control and other quality procedures
- Maintain accurate quality, safety, and maintenance documentation
- Identify and resolve basic machine performance issues
- Perform cleanup functions, including work in sterilized areas when required
- Support continuous production and quality objectives
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Candidate Should Know:
- Safety shoes are required
- This is a manufacturing environment
- Position requires standing, operating machinery, and performing production tasks throughout the shift
- Position involves working with automated equipment and manufacturing processes
- Strong focus on quality, safety, compliance, and documentation
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is highly beneficial
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
