Location: Louisville, KY 40222 (Onsite)
Pay: $33.70/hr (W2)
Start date: June 15, 2026
Expected end date: December 31, 2026 (approx. 28 weeks)
Schedule: 40 hours/week

Travel: Heavy (typically ~75–100%)

Position Summary

We’re hiring a Network Field Engineer to help implement, upgrade, and support enterprise networking and end-user technology across multiple locations. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable working onsite, traveling frequently, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN environments.

What You’ll Do

• Implement, upgrade, and consolidate corporate networking systems
• Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, and IT solutions for end users
• Support LAN/WAN projects and assist with network architecture aligned to best practices
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices (firewalls, routers, switches, etc.)
• Support connectivity/telecom environments (fiber/copper, telephony, MPLS, telco backbone)
• Participate in change execution to minimize business-impact and maintain continuity
• Deploy/support end-user equipment and peripherals (MFDs, printers, fax, etc.)
• Participate in on-call support while onsite
• Follow corporate security and compliance standards (including HIPAA compliance as applicable)

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma plus compensated IT/technology experience (Associate’s degree or relevant certifications preferred)
• Typically 4–6+ years of related experience (more is a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, hardware, and software
• Strong TCP/IP fundamentals (routing, subnets, DNS, DHCP, packet/network analysis, etc.)
• Experience troubleshooting network devices and common internetworking protocols
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word/Excel/Access)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Windows and Linux exposure
• Telecom experience/exposure
• Industry certifications (examples: Microsoft, Meraki, VMware, CompTIA)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements (Highlights)

• Driving and flying may be required depending on assignments
• Ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to ~100 lbs (as needed)
