Buyer I / Buyer II
Location: Tulsa, OK
Pay: Buyer I - $25/hour | Buyer II - $28-$30/hour
Schedule: Full-Time
Join a Leading Aerospace Manufacturing Team
We are seeking a Buyer I or Buyer II to support new product integration and proposal development activities for a leading aerospace manufacturer. This is not a traditional purchasing role focused on placing orders or data entry. Instead, this position plays a critical role in gathering supplier information and cost data that helps the company pursue new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and enjoy working with suppliers and cross-functional teams to collect and analyze information.
Responsibilities
- Contact suppliers to obtain quotes, pricing, lead times, and other proposal-related information
- Gather and compile supplier data to support new business opportunities and proposal submissions
- Coordinate and facilitate follow-up discussions with suppliers as needed
- Analyze supplier responses and ensure information is complete and accurate
- Present collected data to proposal and bid management teams
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers
- Support cross-functional teams throughout the proposal development process
- Track supplier responses and maintain organized documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
- Relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree
Buyer I
- 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, customer service, project coordination, estimating, sales support, or a related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Buyer II
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supplier management, supply chain, estimating, or proposal support
- Experience gathering and analyzing supplier pricing and cost information
- Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage supplier communications
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial industry experience
- Experience supporting bids, proposals, estimating, sourcing, or supplier development
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes
