Position Summary

The Mechanical Assembler/Tester is responsible for assembling and testing mechanical products to meet quality standards and on-time delivery goals. This role involves hands-on mechanical assembly, use of tools and test equipment, and working in a manufacturing environment under direct supervision.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test mechanical products using hand and power tools, fixtures, and measurement equipment.
  • Perform sub-assembly, final assembly, lock wiring, and detailing tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and test specifications.
  • Record test results using basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet product and quality standards.
  • Perform surface finishing tasks such as painting, glazing, or coating parts as required.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and FOD-free (Foreign Object Damage) work area.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated according to schedule.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • 0–1 year of general mechanical or assembly experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience or background in automotive, aircraft, or mechanical repair/assembly preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
  • Basic math, computer, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 50% of the shift and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
