MACHINE OPERATOR | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Columbus NE 68601 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $22.70/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Alternating Days (D Shift)
MACHINE OPERATOR | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Machine Operator will work on a manufacturing team focused on producing high-quality products in a fast-paced production environment. This position is responsible for operating equipment safely, performing quality checks, troubleshooting basic machine issues, and supporting continuous production operations.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
MACHINE OPERATOR | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks on products.
- Complete equipment changeovers, line clearances, and cleaning procedures.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and process issues.
- Maintain production, quality, and safety standards.
- Enter and manage production data within SAP and MES systems.
- Assist with product rework as needed.
- Support clean room maintenance and sanitization activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
- Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all GMP, safety, and operational procedures.
MACHINE OPERATOR | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Experience with SAP, MES, or similar production systems is a plus.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
- Basic math skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and clean room environment.
- Standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods.
- Weekend overtime may be required based on production needs.
- Candidates must maintain regular and reliable attendance.
