Pressroom Helper

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Pressroom Helper to assist with the daily operation of our printing press department. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is eager to learn the printing industry.

Position Summary

Assists Presses in performing efficient change overs.

Basic Responsibilities

• Ensures that the presses have all supplies needed to perform change over
• Keep pan room neat and orderly
• Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
• Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility/corporate standards
• Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met

Specific Duties

• Responsible for keeping anilox always clean
• Responsible for keeping rolls at the press during production
• Responsible for keeping ink pans and tops clean
• Responsible for emptying all trash cans in department when full
• Responsible for making sure inks, cylinders, and sleeves are staged and ready for next job
• Responsible for ensuring printed rolls are removed from the presses in a timely manner
• Support the 2nd operator in pre-set of next order during run as needed
• Remove full scrap boxes and replace with new one as needed
• Supporting materials (inks/films) are available for next order & next shift
• Communicates any known Barriers throughout the shift to the Supervisor
• Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines;
• Follows established safety guidelines; holds self and others accountable
• Initiates and supports improvement initiatives
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
• Must be able to lift 50-75 Ibs
